“The ISO certification is an important milestone for Scienion”, says Dr. Holger Eickhoff, CEO of Scienion AG. “I am sure it will further increase the confidence in our high quality technology products for ultra-low volume liquid handling such as our sciFLEXARRAYER product line and our microarray services. And, we are committed to constantly improve our quality management system.” Certification of conformity to ISO 9001:2008 for the development, manufacture and sales of dispensing systems and microarrays was granted to Dortmund based Scienion by the national certification body TÜV Rheinland on December 18, 2008. The latest ISO 9001:2008 revision was published only a couple of weeks before, on November 14, 2008. ISO 9001 certification has become the global benchmark for providing assurance about the ability to satisfy quality requirements and to enhance customer satisfaction in supplier-customer relationships.
SCIENION AG is a life science company well positioned in the markets of ultra low volume liquid handling systems and microarray technologies. We provide our customers with an integrated product portfolio facilitating and improving multiparallel bioanalytics, high throughput screening and high throughput production of microarrays in the genomics and proteomics fields – from early research to manufacturing. Our approach is to provide our customers in pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostic and reagents companies as well as in academic research institutions with high quality products serving as cost- and time-saving tools for their applications. Based on our expertise and proprietary platform technologies, Scienion’s product portfolio comprises both hardware and software solutions, supported by a wide range of consumables and services. Our products are also protected by a broad patent portfolio.
Scienion’s leading product line is the sciFLEXARRAYER dispensing system, available in six different sizes - DW, S3, S5, S11, SX and S100. These ultra low volume liquid handling systems allow non-contact micro drop delivery in the picoliter to microliter range onto a variety of vessels, surfaces and carriers.
Founded in 2000 in Berlin as a spin-off of the Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Genetics, the company today operates from two sites, Dortmund and Berlin.
